PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Sportstada is a the worlds first completely portable multi-sports stadium for children. A truly global concept designed to make sport accessible to children all over the world.
On embarking on this project our main target points were sustainable, recyclable, eco-friendly, portable, lightweight & FUN
The Sportstada design revolves around a series of 100% recycleable MDPE interlocking panels, which connect together to make an enclosed playing area as small as 10m x 5m or as large as 30m x 15m.
Integrated into every panel is a locating slot for a 3m telescopic aluminium post. This can be used to support perimeter netting and the eco-friendly, battery powered LED floodlights.
The floodlights consume 24 watts and will run for around 8 hours on a 10ah battery. The deep discharge battery can be recharged over and over using solar, physical or mains energy.
The unique packaging design of Sporstada uses the corner panels to create the "Shell" of the storage unit. The remaining body panels, sports equipment, clothing, lighting & netting all fit into these containers for transport and secure storage.
The Sportables version of Sportstada will come with 4 separate stadiums which can be assembled in the following configurations:-
1 Area of 30m x 15m
4 Areas of 10m x 5m.
Any other configuration in-between
In addition to the core use as a Football Stadium, Sportstada also includes the flexibility and all the equipment to play Hockey, Cricket, Basketball & Netball. All the equipment required to play these sports is also included, which enables the kids to play a variety of Sports in the one facility.
For local transport, each container sits on braked casters and can be wheeled around. The Sportables kit will have 8 seperate containers. These in turn can be loaded into standard curtain-side lorry for transport between towns, countries & continents.
The final bonus of Sportstada is the integration of advertising panels in every "Long Panel" where sponsorship can be sold to subsidise the investment costs. These large panel spaces allow the event organiser to raise revenue from sponsors to promote their products locally or worldwide.
